software for EMC applications. In a paper presented one year ago at the 2000 IEEE International Symposium on EMC [l], the Partial Element Equivalent Circuit (PEEC) method and the Method of Moments (MOM) were employed to analyze one of the more complex challenge problems. In that paper, good agreement was obtained at 2 of . 3 This paper presents a new technique to perform parameterized sensitivity analyses of systems that depend on multiple design parameters, such as layout and substrate features. It uses the electromagnetic (EM) method called partial element equivalent circuit to compute state space matrices at a set of design space points.

The partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method, a unique bridging method between electromagnetics and circuit theory, is employed and extended to address new challenges in electromagnetic analysis. Firstly, we developed the first derived equivalent circuit model of arbitrary shape graphene sheets.

Abstract โ€“ Electromagnetic compatibility is becoming an ... analytic ways, for instance, the Partial Element. Equivalent Circuit (PEEC) method [8]. Based on these models, prediction of EMI level is possible via circuit simulation software [9] .

Much progress has been made in the use of computational electromagnetics for the analysis of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) problems during recent years. This paper reviews the improvements in some of the most important techniques of the field: the method of moments, the finite-difference time-domain method, the finite-element method, the transmission-line matrix method, and the partial Reflectometry (TDR), and the Partial Element Equivalent Circuit (PEEC) method. Due to limitations of the existing EMI source modeling methods, a practical and accurate EMI noise source modeling method is needed. The established equivalent circuit models are found to be sufficient to analyze and predict EMI behaviors up to 30 MHz.
